World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is a yearly global campaign to improve awareness of and reduce further spread of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) across the globe. This year's theme is "Preventing antimicrobial resistance together". ESCMID has organized this 90-minute webinar during WAAW 2022 to bring clinicians and researchers within clinical microbiology and infectious diseases together with public health experts under the title “Enhancing antimicrobial stewardship and infection control for the prevention of AMR”. The webinar will emphasize the importance of a multifaceted approach to the mitigation of AMR by having talks on both antimicrobial stewardship (AMS), both in adults and in children and infection control as well as preventing of antimicrobial resistance in Low resource settings.
